Welcome to Lowcountry Preparatory School’s Virtual Open House. Click on the grade level of interest and you will find syllabi, teacher presentations, and other pertinent information. If you scroll to the bottom, you will find additional information regarding lunch schedules, drop-off and pick-up times, and car rider process.

After reading through the syllabi for your grade level, submit the final page to the designated person listed. You only have one page to submit for the grade level.

Please view car rider process below. We apologize for a typographical error in the protocols sent to parents regarding Middle and Upper school entry/exit points. To clarify, East Entry is for 6th and 7th graders, Main Entry is for 8th, 9th, and 11th graders, and West Entry is for 10th and 12th graders.

Student Drivers

If you are a student driver, you are permitted to drive on campus the first week of school without a Student Driver Form. You will need to fill out the form below and submit it to your homeroom teacher by Friday. You must include a copy of your drivers license and insurance card (proof of insurance is required).

If students are driving on campus, they are to enter and exit through the Petigru entrance only. Students park in the student parking lot.

If you are unable to email, you can print out the final page and turn in to your homeroom teacher on the first day of school.

Lower School Lunch Schedule:

  • 11:10 – 11:35: Kindergarten Lunch
  • 11:15 – 11:40: 1st Grade Lunch
  • 11:20 – 11:45: 2nd Grade Lunch
  • 11:25 – 11:50: 3rd Grade Lunch (Ferguson)
  • 11:30 – 11:55: 3rd Grade Lunch (Green)
  • 11:35 – 12:00: 4th Grade Lunch
  • 11:40 – 12:05: 5th Grade Lunch

Remember: All students bring their lunches for the month of August.

Starting in September, if a student orders lunch from the cafe, lunch will be either delivered to classrooms or provided as a grab-and-go. No visitors during lunch periods please.

Students in 2nd through 5th grade will have one day per week to eat in the cafe. All other days students will eat in classrooms, the gymnasium, or outside.

Arrival and Departure Procedures – Lower School Students

DROP-OFF

  • Parents enter from Blue Stem Drive and exit through Petigru Drive.
  • Parents pull up as far as possible, with the first car pulling up to the “Pull to Here” spot.
  • Students remain in vehicles while temperature checks are conducted.
  • Multiple staff members conduct temperature checks each morning.
  • Students allowed into the academic buildings when cleared following temperature checks.

PICK-UP

  • Parents enter from Blue Stem Drive and exit through Petigru Drive.
  • Parents remain in their vehicles.
  • Staff members load multiple cars when feasible.
  • Students dismissed by use of radio communication between teachers and Car Rider staff.
  • Teachers communicate to administration if they have students who were not retrieved.
  • Students remain in their classroom until pick-up is arranged.

Arrival and Departure Procedures for Middle and Upper School Students

To minimize congestion, three entry and exit points are established for Middle and Upper school students.

East Entry 1: 6th and 7th graders (right entrance)

Main Entry 2: 8th, 9th, 11th graders (front entrance)

West Entry 3: 10th and 12th graders (gym side entrance)

DROP-OFF

  • Parents enter and exit through Petigru Drive.
  • Parents pull up as far as possible in front of the school, with the first car pulling up to the “Pull to Here” spot.
  • Students exit vehicles and proceed to their respective entry points for temperature checks (either West Entry, Main Entry, or East Entry).
  • Students enter school if the temperature check is passed.
  • Students are denied entry into the school if the temperature check is not passed; parent is contacted to pick up student immediately, and student waits in front of building.

PICK-UP

  • Parents enter and exit through Petigru Drive; student drivers exit through Petigru Drive.
  • At dismissal, students exit from their respective entry points.
  • Students exiting East Exit wait outside the exit area for pickup; students exiting Main Entry wait in front of the building; and students exiting West Entry wait near the front of the gymnasium. Students will watch for parent’s vehicles and depart once their parents arrive.

School Uniforms

Lower School students wear uniforms daily.

Middle and Upper School students wear uniforms Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
